I never write reviews and try to stay away from pointing out things; but I just need to point this out about this... business through my mom's email address. First, if you call them, you will most likely immediately be taken to a voicemail / answering machine. NO ONE RARELY ACTUALLY ANSWERS phone calls. Seriously, try calling them now during business hours; you will be lucky if someone actually answers the phone. It's sad because they are losing business by ignoring calls - especially when there are some other wonderful dentists in the area. It's quite simple, hire someone to just take the phone calls. Second, when you do leave a message, NO ONE RARELY CALLS YOU BACK. And this occurred before COVID, too - so there isn't really any excuse for it. The staff is friendly in person, and Dr. Claiborne is very kind, but this issue I have addressed is a big deal. Bad communication from this business. I also see other people have made similar reviews about their lack of communication patterns, and how frustrating to see this business reply by either blaming the customer for their lack of communication or giving an excuse for it. Taking my business elsewhere.read more

It is with great frustration, I concur with a recent review days ago, stating the practice as a whole is good and all... who work there are kind and friendly, but communication while a problem for years, has never been as bad as it has been over the past few months. Of course, with Covid, its understandable we all need to be more patient waiting for information / communication in regards to anything. But, that doesn't go both ways. I have been a patient for 11 years and have never missed or paid a bill late. Right before Covid, I received a very high bill, to which I called and left 2 messages to confirm why, and I never heard back. I moved at the same time and while I had a forwarding address registered at the post office, they held all my mail which I hadn't realized, because I hardly receive any mail in this electronic age. When I opened the 3 statements still not specifying the charge, and the threatening letter I would be sent to collections without 1 effort to get in touch with me other than paper mail, I tried repeatedly to get in touch with them. It took days and multiple attempts to finally get a call back, only to be told there was nothing they would do regardless of the situation. I have the postmarked mail for them to see I had just received all in the last few days, and I had reached out multiple times with no response as to the reason for the high bill previously. So my family and I being patients of 11 years in good standing, didn't warrant one phone call to find out why I hadn't paid a bill for the first time. Instead I was sent to collections to pay a huge penalty on a claim insurance had not paid due to a glitch.read more

I hate giving this business a bad review since they are kind when you're at the facility. The issue is that they rarely... answer their phone calls - it has always been so hard to get ahold of them, even way before this COVID pandemic. Plus, they say they'll call you to remind you of your appointments; never get the calls or texts, then I receive a bill charging me of my family's missed appointments, and canceling them altogether. Haven't missed appointments with this business in a while. All to say, consider the other wonderful dental businesses in the area that actually answer their phone calls. Sorry Forest Smiles; my kiddos and I have been going to dental offices for years and years, and you're the only dental office that I have experienced this terrible communication policy you have in place, and then rarely returning phone calls.read more

I had a an appointment in late August and decided to be placed on the cancellation list. I was able to get in mid June... for my cleaning. The staff’s covid protocol was spot on i.e. escort into and out of facility, masks, sterilization procedures, etc. First class dental group!read more

First of all - if you're having problems with a poor fitting lower denture that is rubbing and causing you to have sore... spots, I most heartily recommend getting implants. I had my implants done a few years back and it is nothing short of a miracle. I can honestly say it is one of the best things I've ever done. You'll wonder what took you so long.Also, "Forest Smiles" is the best. The dentist, hygienists, receptionists. etc., are very professional and caring and a pleasure to deal with.read more

I’m very pleased with Forest Smiles dental office. Everyone is very professional, helpful, nice. The office is always... very clean and waiting room is never crowded. I’ve never waited over a minute to be seen, they’re always on time. My dentist is Dr. Emma Schmidt & she’s very skilled, professional, pleasant, & friendly. I greatly appreciate she doesn’t rush into pricey, possibly unnecessary procedures, but instead chooses to check status at next appt. The hygenist who cleans my teeth every appt. does the best job, you don’t feel a thing! I highly recommend this dental office!read more

Love this dentist office. Everyone is so nice. They filled a cavity for me in like 10 minutes. Dr Claiborne gave me the... numbing shot so gently, it didn’t hurt at all. My hygienist was so kind too. I really liked both hygienists I’ve seen. Last time I was there a hygienist came out to talk to a mom and a young kid to say she wouldn’t be their hygienist but told her who would, and how nice she is. I thought it was so sweet. You could tell how much she cared about the patient. Totally recommend.read more

This dental office is amazing! We have moved a couple of times over the years and there are now several dental offices... that are closer to us but we will always go here.
